    Producer Norm Coyne, founding partner of the Northern FanCon pop culture event, joins the show to discuss his comedic alien invasion-meets-comic con short film ‘Conquest’ — now being adapted into a feature film. Conquest is the result of a mentorship program with Northern FanCon. For the past few years now, FanCon has received support from the film industry catalyst Creative BC for workshops and panels. These guests are of quality pedigree - Writer's Guild award winners, Emmy award winners, Golden Globe award winners. During the course of the 3 days of FanCon, they deliver masterclasses in their respective fields behind the camera. This initiative was designed to foster interest in film industry development and establish Prince George as a shooting location for productions. Relationships made in the Creative Corner have led to 4 feature films shot in Prince George in the last two years. In 2 of these films, Prince George portrayed itself garnering a great deal of benefit for local tourism efforts.
