The Earl of Rochelle, Nikolas Whitworth is handsome, charming. And a traitor. He can outwit and out-con any Englishman - and any Englishwoman. When his debts are called in, a savior appears, the criminal mastermind known only as the Tailor. Nikolas is bought and sold; his future, no longer his.

But when a beguiling thief picks his pocket, Rosalyn Devereaux steals more than his coin. Orphaned as a child, Rosalyn trusts no one. She picks the pockets of lords and ladies alike, donating her spoils to the poor. The Tailor notices her skills, and demands Rosalyn enlist in his cause.

With every moment beside Rosalyn, Nikolas changes from a life of lies, to a man with conviction. She occupies his every thought, but can Nikolas out-con the Tailor and secure Rosalyn’s heart before the Tailor steals his love?

Clever way to do a Robin Hood re-telling. I thought it was a fun read. I liked the main characters and enjoyed their back story. I liked that both of them had flaws (so many regencies have main characters that are absolutely perfect).
I was able to listen to this book on audio and I was so happy with the narrator- she did a great job.
I’ve read the other books in this series and they were all fun- They can be read as stand alone books.

Unique twist on Robin Hood re-telling

This was an interesting Robin Hood retelling featuring Clarissa Kae’s immersive story telling and Victorian time period. The author brings a bit of redemption to an unlikely hero and we get a lot of answers to the mystery thread that has been ongoing in the series. I don’t love this narrator so much. I feel as if the voice is an older woman and doesn’t reflect the energy or age of the characters well.
