  • Contemporary Waterfront Property Enhancement by NEST Landscape Design in Australia
    May 20 2022

Michael Creighton, Director at Nest Landscape Design in Australia offers a complementary and very unique background in construction and horticulture.

Specifically, on this podcast episode, Michael elaborates on 1 project in particular, called “Elegant Waterfront”, with its use of neutral colors, position on the waterfront, and the textures of plants.

This conversation sheds light on the pains and proudest moments of this project, including: one significant hiccup with finding wrongly located boulders beneath surfaces...

Michael talks through how they designed around it which involved cranes and long-term construction planning, he explained why he chose unique materials such as herringbone stone as well as glass, and finally, he gave us useful insights on his mentality as he designs - for example: what he doesn’t let influence his creative process. (You won't want to miss this advice).

This is a phenomenal interview with a designer who designs in line with the surrounding environment, is passionate about what he does, has a great instinct for cohesive material selection and offers strong intellect around plants and construction.
