Now an original Netflix series!

From the author of The Wicked Heart and The Immortal comes a beautiful and haunting novel about a group of five terminally ill teenagers whose midnight stories become their reality.

Rotterham Home was a hospice for young people—a place where teenagers with terminal illnesses went to die. Nobody who checked in ever checked out. It was a place of pain and sorrow, but also, remarkably, a place of humor and adventure.

Every night at twelve, a group of young guys and girls at the hospice came together to tell stories. They called themselves the Midnight Club, and their stories could be true or false, inspiring or depressing, or somewhere in-between.

One night, in the middle of a particularly scary story, the teenagers make a secret pact with each other, which says, “The first one who dies will do whatever he or she can do to contact us from beyond the grave, to give us proof that there is life after death.”

Then one of them does die...

The Midnight Club is one of the most captivating books I've ever read. It's an emotional tearjerker with an unexpected ending that left me reflecting long after I turned the last page. Christopher Pike truly is a genius in crafting such profound and moving stories.

Long live The Midnight Club!

Another incredible novel by Christopher Pike. The narration was wonderfully read and it felt like the characters were really there.

This book is not like the show. Some how reminiscent but very different. Mainly the characters names are the same and they live in a hospice and tell eachother stories. I dont mind when the book is different than the show. I can view them as seperate and enjoy them both for what they are. But in this case the show was better than the book. The show fleshed out the characters better gives them more background and depth. This book makes it hard to differentiate between the different characters while they are telling the stories in the midnight club. Would have been better if the author gave them differnet writing styles...or maybe if the narrirator gave them different inflections on voice or something. Book is sad but hopefull. Its not bad, just feels so so. like...its almost there. Feels like a rough draft.

Its Ok
