Fast-paced and engaging

I've enjoyed most of this author's work, but I've always found the first 75% (or close to it) of each book to be superior to what follows. This tale began with a vivid, realistic description of a woman slowly realizing that she was being being harmed by a con artist. Her preoccupied husband, whom she looks to for support, dismisses her fears and suggests she seek psychiatric help. What a great premise for a page-turner! I guess it's hard to keep up this level of realism until the conclusion.

One critique of the performance: It would have been better to have had a narrator who could do an American accent when called for.

Great Book!

I thought I knew how this story was going but I was wrong each time! Loved all the twists and turns!

I could not stop listening

I loved the unpredictable twists to the plot. Extremely well written and performed. One of my favorites.

Not terrible

It wasn’t my favorite plot, but kept me entertained. I love Katie Villa. She is one of my favorite narrators, but I discovered in this book that she cannot do an American accent. Still love her though! I didn’t use a credit for this book I got it on sale, so had I used one of my coveted credits I may have been more disappointed. But for the value I paid, it definitely kept me interested and had a nice try the ending which I love.

Classic psychological thriller

Overall a good story with a twist. A bit longer than it needed to be though, some things are unnecessarily detailed
