By: Melissa Brunetti
  • Summary

  • Welcome to Mind Your Own Karma – The Adoption Chronicles Podcast. This season, I'm asking birth mothers to tell their stories. I'm asking my listeners to challenge themselves and keep the episodes rolling, because I know I've grown and learned so much from it already. I want you to know, there's so much more to these stories than you imagine. I'm an adoptee myself, and I want us to look at all sides of the adoption journey for our education and healing. Emotional healing of the primal wound can happen through SMGI, an innovative self-guided hypnotherapy, so listen in for more information. • S3E12 - JESSICA PEARSON, ADOPTEE: "TRAUMA TO TRIUMPH"
    Mar 19 2024

Jessica Pearson was born in Billings MT in 1981. Her bio mother was a teenager who found herself pregnant, and with a family that wasn't interested in raising a baby and decided adoption was the best option for them.

Jessica was the first private adoption in the state of Montana. She was raised by a medical doctor and stay-at-home mom, and it all seemed perfectly "normal" and good to her — until she faced the circumstances of reunion and becoming a mother herself.

From there, she set out on a decades-long healing journey, and now assists adoptees with turning their trauma into triumph. Jessica is a certified life coach who co-owns Path Nutrition and also co-hosts her podcast Weight a Minute.

This is a wonderful self-development podcast!

Newcomer Melissa Brunetti started a podcast in 2021, and she started things off with what she knew. After a year, it became clear to her that all of her messages to "come home to yourself" meant she had to do the same, and the second season became dedicated to adoption. Her own adoption story, unpacking all the feelings, and helping others in the adoption constellation understand all the complexities and possibilities that this unique situation can carry with it, both on the surface and in the deep undercurrents. We find out that looking in the eyes of the complacent adoptee that not all is fine, and that the behaviors of an adoptee throughout their lifetime, while they may be a mystery even to themselves, comes from the primal wound. Join Melissa in discovering and uncovering the Adoption Chronicles. Even if you're not personally affected by this topic, you will definitely have your eyes opened wide.
