  • Summary

  • Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avary invite you to become a customer at Video Archives, the video store where it all began. Joined by their trusty producer Gala Avary, they’ll travel back in time to revisit old classics and discover new favorites, pulled from the thousands of actual VHS tapes that Quentin & Roger used to recommend to customers back in the day at the original Video Archives store in Manhattan Beach. From controversial James Bond films to surprising exploitation flicks, the Video Archives team will expose you to movies you didn't know you'd love, give awards to their favorites, and of course, rate the quality of the video transfer.

    NEW PODCAST PREMIERE!

We at The Video Archives Podcast are proud to present The Gala Show, a new podcast with our favorite reporter on the beat, Gala Avary. She's talked to friends of the podcast, like Mick Garris, Joe Dante, and Jacqueline Coley, as well as

On this episode of The Gala Show, Gala travels to Nice Guy Productions World Headquarters overlooking the glamorous San Fernando Valley to chat with one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, Mick Garris (Sleepwalkers, Critters 2, and the Post Mortem Podcast). Mick walks Gala through the nuances and challenges of adaptations, his collaborations with Steven King and Clive Barker, and how one can even adapt their own original material — but first, a question about the set of Critters 2.

What a treat!

It brings tears to my eyes seeing Tarantino and Avery reunite to give us this truly amazing podcast. It is so fun to hear them talk about all aspects of the movie making process and past stories about their video store days. Pure cinema speculation!

Crossing my fingers that Avery partners with Tarantino on his 10th film!

Loved it

This is just a bunch of movie-loving dorks talking about movies in a very dorky way. Glad to listen in. Loved it.

The Jet Benny Show

Just wondering why in your review of Jet Benny no mention is made of the fact that Rochester is played by Kevin Dees (white guy) doing a stereotypical 50's type of African American accent in a black face mask. Not the same as black face but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
