Lady of the Tudor Court, servant of queens, courtier, wife, spy...and constant heart. This is the story of Jane Boleyn, Lady Rochford.

In death, she would become infamous, yet in life passed often unseen. Jane Parker, daughter of the scholar Lord Morley, leaves her home at a tender age, embarking on a career in the dangerous Tudor Court. From the halls of her father's house to the palaces of London, from England to Calais and the Field of the Cloth of Gold Jane will travel, seeing much of this world, and others.

Promised in marriage to George Boleyn, Jane is drawn into the future of his family and their advancement...and as Anne Boleyn catches the eye of the King, Jane becomes part of the tempest about to be unleashed upon England.

Slow pacing and not my favorite narrator, in part because of having listened to other books with Jane Boleyn and getting used to a certain voice in my head. This was okay for being Audible Plus but it was very slow and dragged on.

I wanted a different story- keep this in mind that this author does not go the Philippa Gregory route, other characters are portrayed and regarded very differently here. It’s an okay book if you like Tudor historicial fiction with fiction being the key word but again it’s very slow. Every author puts a different spin on it.

The narrator took some getting used to. She sounds young and slow Speaking and a bit bored. I wish she had made it a little more exciting. It reads like jealousy of Ann Boleyn, and Mary Boleyn is described by Jane as being of a quite bad moral reputation. Jane makes herself sound plain and normal for the time which is probably more accurate. So it’s okay, not too great, not worth a credit but was worth a listen. Doubt I’ll listen to it more than once. The book might be better than the audiobook for this one in my opinion.

The narrator was great. She hit the different voices on the head. It brings the story to life.

The plot line was shallow. The book description is misleading. This is another book about Anne Boelyn with made up narration and a few facts about Jane Rochford. It does not even cover the betrayal of her husband and sister-in-law.

The narrator had a pleasant voice.
