Amazing read

The story provides such a brand new perspective on a large aspect with my personal walk with God. To a 19-year-old, the business aspects makes so much sense for how brilliantly it's written, and the fact that it's narrated by the guy that lived through this is also remarkable, making it that much more real (he's extremely lively) I wish more authors wrote looks like this, that teach life lessons, business lessons, but then turns their own life story into a God lesson. The book was so good, my father read it twice, and shared it with many of his own co-workers.

Where's God When I'm F...f..fired?

I read this book years ago and saw it was available read by Phil Vischer now in audio form so I grabbed it. Knowing some of the success he's had since the end of this book, the lessons learned are still fresh. I was a huge Veggietales college kid, even doing a speech in my speech class about what Veggietales was. I was a children's pastor who showed the new shows as they came out. My wife was a Big Idea ambassador. We were Veggie fanatics, so I see so much of what I enjoyed throughout the book. Hearing the backstories, the raw emotions and desperation to keep the dream afloat, makes my memories of the time cleaner and full of more sorrow.
Seeing what Vischer went through from the rise of Big Idea to the day he was dismissed reminds me of dreams God gave to Joseph and Moses, only to take it away and make the dream real through His own ways. It's a painful lesson many of us have gone through and hearing another story of pain to confirmation is encouraging. Without the death of one dream, Jellyfish, Buck Denver, the Holy Post and everything else that has happened since would not be here.

Best book, I have ever read.

A must read for all ages and all walks of life. It’s a book I will keep coming back to.
