Welcome back, Batchers! Happy second-to-last Bad Batch episode! Thank you so much for listening, it means a lot! In this episode, Julia and Becca are back with our trusty character, theme and plot analysis. And, of course, don't forget the goofs.

Talking points include: wow what an ending, satisfying character arcs/endings, characters receiving poetic justice (Nala Se & Admiral Rampart), characters different ethical journeys & the different avenues they use to get there, songs we would choose to play over footage of the Zillo beast escaping, the joy of growing up with characters & watching characters grow up, the power of found family, we love to see some non toxicly masculine boys (we love soft bois), RIP Hunter, you would have loved Margaritaville (and you would be a Buffet-head, we all know), love me some characters aging (ah, the passage of time), screaming, crying, throwing up, Omega is so big now! TechWatch 2024: he's in our hearts forever, no body, no crime.

    Apr 29 2024

Welcome back, Batchers! Let's get this bread. In this episode, Julia and Becca are back with our trusty character, theme and plot analysis. And, of course, don't forget the goofs.

Talking points include: listen we keep calling Rampart Charles (because that's his name) but bear with us as we adapt to Edmon, using a character like Rampart well, Rampart's intentions & what he could possibly do, cyclical natures in the positive as opposed to the negative, putting characters back where they were in the end of a story to see how much they have changed & grown, Echo & Emerie, That Bitch™ is back (the Zillo Beast), seeing how much Omega has grown and learned as a character, & TechWatch 2024; god, please, give him to us next episode, I know he's out there somehwere,

Thoughtful analysis with a touch of fangirling

Julia and Rebecca clearly have an excellent education for good storytelling. And they are clearly huge Star Wars fans. This results in a podcast that critiques without being harshly critical, appreciates the good work of the storytellers, and conveys a genuine love of the story and the universe it's building. It is refreshing to listen to fans talking about a Star Wars property without bringing all the negative luggage from other critical analysts who just want to complain. Both women are wise enough to critique - rather than criticize for the sake of it - and lead viewers and listeners into a headspace allowing the talented artists of TBB to tell the whole story, or at least have payoffs before passing a full judgment. They also invite their listeners to just wallow in the joy of a truly beautiful tv show, with a truly wonderful story to tell. I cannot wait to listen to the rest of this podcast, and I am looking forward to watching season 2 and listening to their responses whenever the show frelling drops!
