The blood of dragons pumps through his veins. Greatness awaits!

Kobolds cower at the bottom of the food chain, forced to eke out a meager existence in the most wretched of caves.

Most have made peace with their lot in life; one of eating scraps and carrion. They hide and run from predators, delaying the inevitable day when they aren't fast or sneaky enough to make their escape.

But not Samazzar. Sam is different from other Kobold pups.

Traps and caves might keep him and his people alive, but sometimes, just living isn't enough. Dragon blood runs through him, and Sam isn't willing to settle for mere survival. Whether by claw, magic, or cunning, one day he will soar above the plains, predator rather than prey.

And nothing–be it the mockery of his tribe, the hazards of the deep caves, or even the almost insurmountable difficulty of successfully evolving his bloodline–nothing is going to stop him.

Join Samazzar and his boundless optimism on his quest in A Dream of Wings and Flame, a new LitRPG series from best seller Cale Plamann. Sam must throw off the shackles placed on his tiny scaled body by fate so he can claim his birthright once and for all.

Tye story was entertaining and i little boring at parts but that's just personal preference but i do have to say that this is not a litrpg story at all, its a cultivation story and if im being honest the only reason i would be getting book 2 is just to see the interactions between Sam and the human population and the epilogue was really good

Entertaining

I’d previously read this author’s blessed time books which I also enjoyed. This isn’t a particularly intellectual read but it’s a lot of fun with a plucky hero, interesting magic mechanics and plenty of humor to go around. Neil Hellegers voice narration is great as usual.

What a Fun Progression Story

This is easily in my top 10 of the year. Great story. Funny and interesting mc. Interesting world building. Neil’s performance was excellent as always. This is a solid book all around. I’m excited for the rest of the story.

It’s fantastic

Is a very good story, and the narrator did a excellent job. Looking forward to book 2 in the series.

is good. Little dragon work hard, gets stronger. writing good, story good, dialogue good, my only complaint is that kobolds feel like humans, sometimes I forget they're reptiles. this is minor, and understandable issue, how do you make creatures that humans connect with, that aren't human? you give them the traits that we find admirable, which you have done in spades, but where you're lacking is making the differing races feel differing
