Exciting, end leaves you wanting more

This is an exciting story that kept me interested from beginning to end. I think I liked this book somewhat less than the previous 7 in the story, but only somewhat. There’s less science and engineering but more battle. The ending was a cliff-hanger and I’m now left waiting fairly impatiently for the next book.

Writing this review at a little over 12 hours in. Great world building, and loving how this world just keeps expanding, charcter, history, believable and intelligent interactions.

The bad: The narrator speaks slow, and sometimes it's hard to tell when he's speaking as diffrent characters. I started listening at 115% speed and enjoyed it a lot more.

What an Ending,!

Story drags here and there. Heather was almost an afterthought. Mark should have gotten a few chapters as well.

Enjoyable Series!

New favorite book series and author. The world is vast and I’m anxious to where it goes. This me the series feels like a mesh of SiFi and historical fiction. Do your self a favor and read this!

A solid entry into the series

The story moves along nicely in this novel and both the overall story and the performance are solid as ever.
