    You were told to fear God. You were also told to love Him. And if you're honest, you never really understood how both could be true at the same time.

    Kirk sits down with his son James to unpack one of the most misunderstood commands in Scripture. James spent years brushing past the "fear God" stuff and leaning into the love, assuming the fear part was just... complicated. But the more he dug in, the more he realized he had it all wrong.

    They trace the difference between the fear of a slave dreading a tyrant and the fear a child has for a good and powerful father. One pushes you away. The other pulls you closer. That distinction changes everything.

    The man who fears God fears nothing else. The man who doesn't? He fears everything.

I am not religious, and trust when I say, I have spoken to many self righteous people who call themselves Christians, but rather act as though they were hand picked by God (and only them) to do dirty work in his name. I don’t think that Mr. Cameron is either self righteous or sending a dirty message hiding behind the religion. From what I have heard thus far, quite the opposite. While I personally don’t agree with everything that I listened to, I did listen with open mind and he (Cameron), seems to actually care about others and their well being as well as having a seemingly authentic faith in God from his education, life experience and constant transcendence and of course, faith. I refuse to believe that Kirk Cameron is trying to deceive or trick anyone. He is a master orator as well (in my opinion). In short, perhaps give this series and Kirk Cameron at least a chance. I was not paid for this review and hold absolutely no bias whatsoever. Just someone who was willing to try something different than what I’m used to.
