Before World War Two could reach its conclusion, the world suffered what could only be defined as a cataclysm.

Legend has it that an experiment failed. Catastrophically so. And when it failed, the center of the United States, from the Sierra Nevada to the Mississippi river, became "The Waste", where everything changed.

Except it didn't only happen in North America. In fact, it happened all around the world.

Few places were spared, though, only a handful experienced it as deeply as the United States did.

In the Wastes of the world, every fantasy creature, fairy tale demon, or mythological monster exists. From Orcs, to Neriads, Ogres, Trolls, Wraiths, Elves, Harpies, and even Beastmen. They all exist, and all despise humankind.

For North America, in the shattered bones of the country, the West and East Coasts, new governments have rose, then fell.

Vince has become the master of a major portion of the Wastes of North America. Responsible for everything and everyone inside his boundaries. There is little that doesn’t fall under his purview.

Now, he has to take up a courier mission of sorts.

Except he’s the item to be delivered.

Straight to the European continent.

Where Vince plans on delivering a massive helping of Yosemite to the masses.

All while giving them a heavy taste of the Legion technology.

A job that’ll change the lives of everyone where he lands as well as where he came from.

Fun book to listen to and voices are really good. Such a great range of voices this narrator can use.

Very fun book

It felt fresh with the introduction of an entire new cast. Looking forward to the next one.

Still good

TL;DR: If you just finished the previous 3 books this should be little issue for you. If didn't consume this author's material for a long while, it's the same.

It has been a long time since I listened to the previous books and the crossover so I'm hazy on the details of them. I remember the general plot of the first few but that's not particularly difficult, this series doesn't have high expectations from me. Note that I consume and, subconsciously, compare media as much as soldiers march. Keep this in mind while reading this review.

There seems to be a substantial gap between the end of Waste 3 and here. Even taking the (one) crossover I know about that has a major impact there is a rushed feeling to the start until the book's task is set up. Once the task was set up, I guessed what the next steps would be and was disappointed that it was almost exactly as I expected. Some details were off but the general set was unsurprising. Characters see a thing happen and get mad about it. They commence to do something about it but it doesn't go to plan and has /consequences/. If you've read/listened to the previous you know the next steps.

Something that was good was that the characters all seemed consistent... to my memory. The author has really good notes, re-read their previous work, and/or wrote this close to Wastes 3 while everything was fresh. Some characters have development but it's surface level. The main character, I can't even remember his name he's so generic to me, is exactly what he was. Although, I've learned that's by design, probably.

This series is one I'd describe as, "turn your brain off, NSFW, power fantasy." This book is not any different, in that respect, from the previous in series and shouldn't be asked for more. I like this author(s) and most of their other series not because I think they're deep or engaging but the opposite. If I need a background sound that needs loose attention, this is my go to author.

Narration? A. Parsneau does a fine job of narrating, I have an expectation when I see her name attached, this one is no different. My expectation of AP is not of story quality but the genre and rating. She still has a flat generic male voice but I don't know many who can do a variety of the opposite sex. Those that can, this likely isn't something they'll support publicly.

Got What I Expected | Power Fantasy

I kinda wish they used the same narrator for Super Sales on Super Heroes or used the narrator from the first Super Sales book.

It's on track with the others

I must say that the whole series was a very good listening experience. Great story line and superb narration. Keep it coming.
