Great for Beginners

I am very new to Hoodoo. I was interested in learning more, and this book has tons of great information. I thought Voodoo and Hoodoo was the same and this book broke down the difference. It is a little slow/dry in the beginning but very informative. I cannot wait to try some of the spells and to read more from this author. I recommend this book if you very new to Hoodoo and spells.

Literally the only book you need

This book was sooo informative. I learned more from this book than I have from certain online communities with "experts" in hoodoo. I love the way the details were explained so anyone can understand them. I originally got the audio book, but now I want to get the hardcopy as well!.

I absolutely love this author. This is the 2nd book I've read from her so far. I have been wanting to learn about hoodoo for a while now. She explains everything in detail and the best part, she tells ya what too do and how to do it. I do want to say everything is with the power of intentions. You can always mix things up and do it your own way. I rate this book 5 stars. Would rate it higher if I could. If your new to hoodoo, this is the book for you! Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

OK, book, has a few new tricks

Layla offers a short description and some history data on the foundation of Hoodoo. She discusses the core beliefs of Hoodoo and it is motive alongside with the significance of referring to to our ancestors. However, Layla discusses extra indepth the records of Hoodoo and it is genuine African origin, and how our enslaved ancestors hid their native religions inside their exercise of Christianity and finally the two commenced to be practiced collectively to a special shape of spirituality.
