jump scares and twists

I have seen the movie, this was an unexpected surprise. I didn't know there would be jump scares but I loved it. the unexpected ending was so sad. good job with the narrations and music and sounds

This was a really fun scary story. The narrator and sounds made the story very immersive. Classic ghost story. Worth a listen.

The audio was freaking incredible for this book! I listened to the entire book with good headphones and it was just amazing! The music, the sound, the performance was outstanding and u can't say enough good things about it. The story (as typical) was different than the movie and I enjoyed the movie. There are some things a movie can accomplish with visuals that you can't get in a book but I still got chills a few times listening to this. I highly recommend this Audible version to a well written book, made better with a tremendous performance and the great audio!

I had seen the 2012 movie starring Daniel Radcliffe and was disappointed as I really didn’t follow the plot I am so happy that I took the chance and listened. The profit on and performance are superb. Well done Audible!

Probably the best Susan Hill to listen to! Awesome narration! Definitely one to LISTEN! I've enjoyed Susan Hill stories, but this one was hard to put down!
