Trouble in the Dales. A brutal gang of poachers. When one of the unsavories is killed, can a DCI stop a river of revenge from overflowing with blood?

Detective Harry Grimm is reaching another milestone in the Dales. As he completes the purchase of his new house, his plans for moving in are disrupted when a trespasser falls into a grisly calculated trap and bleeds out.

Tracking back to a recent violent confrontation in a local pub, Grimm and his team assemble a long list of suspects. But when a principal lead disappears in a potentially murderous payback, he fears it’s the start of an all-out slaughter across his idyllic countryside.

Can he halt a killer stalking human prey before the butchery destroys his beloved land?

Fair Game is the electrifying 11th book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like steadfast cops, chilling clues, and gruesome puzzles, then you’ll love David J. Gatward’s suspenseful hunt.

Five star series and narration

I just love this series. I love all of the characters and I can't wait to hear what's been happening since the last time we were together. I also love that everyone likes each other and that the team works well together. Too many books in this genre have unlikeable characters with too much strife in their lives and with each other. I also love the descriptions of the Dales, and the food, and there is plenty of humor weaved throughout the stories.

Aubrey Parsons is brilliant in this series and I can not imagine anyone else voicing these characters.

Can't wait for the next book to come out on Audible!!

My favorite British crime series!!

Another great book! I really enjoy this series and am doing my best not to binge them! Trying to savor and read them slowly but it’s hard to do with such great characters, fantastic narrator and stellar story lines!

Fantastic

I am really enjoying this series. The narration is excellent with each character having a distinctive voice and accent. The characters are likable and the plots are intriguing.
BUT…I feel that there is a trend towards two things. First is that the murders are increasingly gruesome and fantastical, and too much time is spent giving detailed disturbing descriptions of these complicated murders. Second is the trend towards some deep dark conspiracy involving the main characters father. These two things are incongruent with the more light hearted descriptions of the scenery and some of the quirky people.
I gave this one a four because I feel that the series is losing the lighter appeal it had in the first books.

Love this series but…
