As the world succumbs to the chaos brought on by the infected, the Light Reapers are faced with a difficult decision which shifts their focus from saving the world to saving themselves.

While continuing to battle the infected, the Reapers now face a new but familiar enemy who threatens to rip the team apart and destroy everything they have left.

After suffering significant loses, circumstances force Priest and Webb to lead the team south on a new mission. Will they establish a new way of life or will it lead them on a path of ultimate destruction?

Story was solid, slightly different take on the standard zombie narrative, but what really stood out was the excellent narration of the story!!!

Great naration

I have to say I was initially unsure if I was going to buy this book even as I was almost to the end of the first. The first in this series was a bit amateurish to say the least. Even the verb tenses were way off and there were quite a bit of eye rolling dialogue scattered throughout. I also got the sense that the author thinks a man saying “get on your knees woman” is sexy! (in no situation ever said every woman I know) HOWEVER … this second book was a big improvement over the first and with the excellent narration I can see this series getting better and better with every book and doing the ZA proud.

Stick with this series

I loved the first book and was excited for the second but the switching of narrators ruins the whole thing. The characters voice no longer match from the first book so it just doesn’t sound good. I couldn’t even get through the first chapter
