It’s never too late.

Whether you’re a new Christian or you’ve walked the road for decades, it’s never too late to find the critical truths that make life make sense.

We often start out believing that common sense will be enough, that we’re prepared for the road ahead with our good values and quick thinking.

It doesn’t take long to learn otherwise. A broken friendship. An obsessive career. Financial distress. Even empty success. We come back to God, searching for insight, for hope. And He provides.

Nothing can replace studying the Bible. Best-selling author and pastor Charles Swindoll has spent decades studying its pages and teaching its precepts.

But if sixty-six books seem overwhelming, The Owner’s Manual for Christians is the perfect starting place: a biblical summary of the major truths that anchor the Christian life. From grace to freedom, these chapters walk the reader through the keys to a life well lived?drawn from the Creator of life itself.

Life is often confusing, but it does not have to be impossible. Read The Owner’s Manual for Christians and find hope for the road ahead.

Mr. Swindoll makes some decent points throughout the book but none of them overshadow his heresy against God that he actually DOUBLES down on! He claims TWICE that God no longer speaks to us, the ONLY way He communicates is through His word, no prophecy, no dreams or visions, no speaking through our spirit, nothing. Absurd!! And completely unbiblical! He quotes Matthew 6:8 that says when we pray in secret the God who hears in secret rewards us. Ummm is SILENCE our reward?! Also prayer is not just asking God for things, it's CONVERSATION with God, not a monologue but a dialog. He then quotes James, our Lord shows no shadow of changing.. except two chapters earlier Mr. Swindoll says Gid used to talk to us, now He doesn't. Isn't that change? I'm so sad for this man, if God no longer talks to him, then I pray he's not preaching anymore! If he is and says this garbage in his sermons, I hope get up and not walk out, but run. I heard from God the day He called me to Him and I hear from Him all the time! Swindoll asks, What does His voice sound like, is He baritone? Pure ignorance and disrespectful, does he really think that's funny? He talks through His Spirit which He sent to teach us and remind us of what Jesus said and did while He was here. The helper, the counselor, our advocate. Are those terms of someone who is to remain silent? A silent counselor? A silent advocate or teacher? Pathetic and at 91 he should no better. So sad to see a man who has his level of influence be so wrong on something so vital. Beware of false teachers readers. Know your word, don't blindly accept what others say no matter who they are. This book proves that!! So very sad.

How disappointing
