I never thought I'd go to college a virgin, but unless something changes—and fast—that's what's going to happen.

In comes Harden Hart, my all-American boy-next-door best friend with an offer to help in a way I'd never imagined.

The boy, who turned everything he touched to gold, had a filthy side to him I'd never seen. Oh, and did I mention he's straight?

We could keep this fun, but we had to hide it from both our fathers. We could smile for the cameras, focus on winning the state swimming championship and maintain Harden's image. Easy enough, right?

Only Harden didn't want to hide. His addiction to our not-so-private hook-ups put everything at risk with his father's planned presidential run, and I risked losing my best friend if anyone found out.

But the biggest risk of all: the risk of breaking my own heart by falling for someone who was never mine to begin with.

Maybe love just isn't in the equation.

Really good listen. 4.5 ⭐️'s

Really enjoyed the characters and story. Love that the turmoil (which was quite tame) was outside of their relationship and it just made them stronger together. While I don't necessarily believe it deserves 5 ⭐️'s, I would say it's a solid 4.5.

Will probably listen again when I'm in a book slump.

Friends to Lovers

It was okay. Loved the voice acting but Vance’s doubting himself, and so everything everyone said to him, got annoying. Still, the relationship was solid and it was blindingly obvious how Hardin felt about Vance from the very beginning. I can say I telegraphed how the fathers of each would react to the relationship but it wouldn’t surprise me if this sort of thing played out exactly the same in the real world.

It was a little more graphic in the sex area than I usually like but the story itself made up for it.

Reviews are misleading

I think it could be great but the reviews that say it's low angst is misleading. It is an endless back and forth for chapters that by number 7 I gave up. Pity, because I think it would have been great.

HARDEN ATE VANCE UP AT EVERY SINGLE SCENE CHECKED HIM AND WRECKED HIM. WOW THE CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS THE DIALOGUE THE VERBAGE... 10/10!!! Came back to add.... this needs to be a movie! Hardens character his quips his 1 liners jesus i stood up and cheered!

Really like it

I really liked the pacing and the story. It was a good read and def looking forward to listening to the others. Oh and the spicy was 10/10 🔥
