slow to start.

The story had a very slow start. After a couple of chapters, it picked up. After the start, I enjoyed the story and the narration.

Dialect work needed

While the timber of the male narrator was pleasant to listen to, both authors butchered the dialect of Appalachian mtns regions. It doesn’t sound like the bayous of Louisiana or rural Deep South. And Chattanooga is Chat-ta-noo-ga.

The story was tame enough for those that blush easily, and different enough from other popular trend elfin storylines to not feel like your reading the same story just different names for f some series.

narration perfect, made the characters come alive.

So much detail. The narrators gave life to the story. I really enjoyed the world they describe.

just enough romance and 90% story

romance adjacent as i enjoy, i am honored to have found a similar story to Melanie Rawne i have read before.
