Love it!

Living nearby in North Idaho, we heard bits and pieces of the Easterday story. Anna brought it all together in classic rural northwest style. It was almost like driving through the Eastern Washington countryside, smelling the growing onions and seeing the vast cropland and cattle herds. I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast and look forward to more by Anna.

Where's the Beef?

There's no meat here. No insight from area farmers, no insight from the industry, no insight from the Easterdays, no juicy gossip, no surprises, and nothing of any real interest, Anna King comes off as a shunned outsider through the entire podcast. I was excited about this podcast when I heard about it but, my goodness, there is just nothing there much like the cattle in the Easterday feedlot. Kind of ironic. The production is slick and professional but there is no beef, just lots of musical interludes and a repetitive narrative that feels like a cover for lack of content. Only two episodes in but I'm guessing the amount of actual content could have been accomplished in 30 minutes. It feels like a ghost podcast about a ghost herd. Good idea but the execution is impossible if people won't open up and talk.
