As summer winds down in the mountains of Idaho, Dan and his group are preparing for a long winter in their hardened underground home. Unlike the majority of Americans, they have power, running water, and plenty of food thanks to the preparations of paranoid podcaster Kyle Cross.

On a beautiful day, Dan sets out on a solo mountain bike ride, one of his favorite ways to clear his head. In typical fashion, he pushes himself beyond his limits and wipes out on a challenging section of trail.

When he wakes up, he finds that his injuries are not the worst of his problems. He's bound to a tree and staring into the eyes of a woman they'd all hoped was dead.

The Way Of Dan

Great addition to the serious. Wrote well like always and narrated perfect like always. Great action throughout I never once got bored.

great storyline with some unfortunate ywists

love this series. the only complaint is that each book isn't longer because I'm always bummed to reach the end and have to wait for the next.

Dan doesn't listen and is an ass.

I did not like that Ivy killed so many innocent folks. Bird and the old man.

Dan is the man

The character Dan makes me laugh out loud and holly is the perfect mate for him.

Entertaining

Book four is an interesting fast paced story with good laughs and good twists..a must read
