Venture into a strange setting, where survival is a daily reality. The characters are all engaging through all their travels and sacrifices. The books ending is a disturbing treasure.

This book had no business making me feel this much. The MMC loves fiercely and without hesitation and it shows in every single decision he makes. He is intense in the best way, strong and emotionally devastating.

And when the story hits its emotional peak it hits perfectly. Just a direct shot to the chest. I was fully invested and completely satisfied by the end.

I loved this story! its second chance ex best friends and it was just was adorable. I love the apocalyptic setting to give it some grit it was a nice balance to the sweetness in Dexter's thoughts and the secrets in Sara's.

I found the apocalypse very confusing. The author makes it seem like the world has completely crumbled. People have rotting teeth and are living in camps. Yet, chocolate bars and cherry moisturizing lipstick and new clothing can still be found. Sara and Dexter's backstory takes place in modern day. Present day, we're in an apocalypse with Screechers (pterodactyl-like creatures) and an infectious fog. There isn't explanation as to what caused the apocalypse. It isn't until chapter 29 that we find out what caused the apocalypse. I thought that was a long time to wait.

The narrator is wonderful.
