  • Remembering D-Day -- 80 years later; Congressman Scott Perry joins House Intel panel

    Two officers who defended the U.S. Capitol during the January 6th riots are campaigning for President Biden in Pennsylvania.

    Eighty years ago today during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, Lancaster County’s Dick Winters led a group of paratroopers on an assault of four German artillery pieces near Utah Beach. An archaeological dig is now taking place at Brecourt Manor.

  • Pa. GOP lawmakers join election lawsuit; Photos show suspect behind suspicious package at Gettysburg museum

    Seven Pennsylvania GOP congressman are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to revive a lawsuit opposing get out the vote efforts in the commonwealth. The group of lawmakers each voted against certifying the state’s 2020 presidential election results for President Biden despite no evidence to support election-fraud claims.

    Philadelphia nonprofit Safehouse is pushing forward with opening an overdose prevention center for people who use drugs. The group has filed a new appeal in federal court to argue that such centers do not violate national drug laws.

    Members of the LGBTQ+ community are asking every municipality in Pike County to recognize June as Pride Month.

    A coalition of community and environmental groups is calling on the Department of Energy to suspend talks with a hydrogen hub in Appalachia.

    An internal review by Penn State in 2019 found evidence of “friction” between coach James Franklin and a now-former team doctor. But, it could not determine whether Franklin violated NCAA rules or Big Ten standards by interfering with medical decisions.
