Jesus gave us several charges during the great commission; one of them was to cast out devils (demons) in Mark 16:17. However, there are times we’re met with the challenge of some demons wanting to stay or dwell in our lives. The problem is not a lack of power that Jesus gave us; the issue is we can’t bind demons that we’re in agreement with, or if we have an open door. Concerning binding demons, it’s all or nothing, there’s no middle ground. We must be faithful to our relationship with the Lord, and faithful to the call on our lives.

1st Peter 4:17 says “For the time has come that judgement must begin at the house of God…” Jesus Christ is examining His church for where we are in time, this MUST take place for the end-time harvest. We, as born-again believers, must answer the charge of being light in a dark world to show them the way. The challenge comes when we, as children of light, live as a child of darkness or children of the world. God is calling us to separate ourselves from that which is unholy, worldly and connected to children of darkness.
