Should be made into a movie !!!
Awesome story, couldn’t put it down. Great characters, and an excellent narrator. I actually chose this book because I searched books narrated by Jess Nahikian, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Wow, finished it as quickly as I could
The story was very compelling. At a certain point I couldn’t stop listening because I had to finish the book and find out what happened. At times, it was really hard to hear what they went through and I almost wished I hadn’t read it. In the end, I was glad I did though.

Nail biter!
Never in my life has it taken everything in me not to skip to the end of a book to find out the ending. Absolutely loved the twist and turns. Ms Shapiro definitely has the ability to keep you on your toes. Don’t start reading this book unless you have the time to finish it

Excellent story with very dark tones
Excellent story, but it really should come with trigger warnings for depression and SA. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire book, feeling what the character felt, obsessed to find the answer. It is a fascinating look into pioneer life on the NC coast with a little romance, a lot of anxiety and stress, and an intense mystery.
