It’s a fun mystery series with a strong female lead and lush descriptions of Irish daily life.

The oral characterization of the characters

With her darling accent and the spot-on intonation of the author's words on the page, the vocal interpretation of these novels makes for an enjoyable, almost addicting experience.

Another surprising who done it.

I am really enjoying this series and the intuitive detective methods of Siobhan. I like that she can hold her own, is not a woman in distress and never gives up, no matter how difficult (or dangerous) things get. The addition of Irish recipes is awesome! I don’t cook or bake but am going to make the exception and try these! Update: I made Siobhan’s Brown Bread today and loved it!! However, I think there was an error in the lower temp hint “180 for 1 hour”. Although the original 400+ degrees were Fahrenheit, I think this is 180C (approx 350F) as this made more sense. So I baked at 350F for one hour and it came out well. Of course, I am not sure that it is correct because I have never had Irish brown bread before! It was tasty and I like the texture.

Thoroughly Addicted!

I’m in LOVE with these stories! I think the readers voice is close to the voices I heard in Ireland. It’s a comfort because when I hear other readers try and speak in an Irish accent it’s jarring! It’s such a unique accent that it’s very difficult to duplicate by American or English actors. Thank you for the stories and how beautifully read it is!
