John Telfer
A short story from the British Library Crime Classic collection Final Acts. Detective novelist Dorothy L. Sayers presents a look at morality and motive as playwright John Scales grows angrier and more resentful towards the actor who reinvented his script, and must decide how far he will allow his hatred to take him...

I've read, and listened to, a number of DLS short fictions. This one, I regret to say, was far from her best. I bought it, I listened through it, but it really wasn't worth my time nor its price.
It's very possible that others might like it more than I did, but for me it wasn't a winner.
Not one of Sayers' best short stories, in my opinion
