Not Very Spicy

When I hear “why choose” I assume they hook up eventually…but not in this book. There is ⚔️ which I love but the whole book is a tease! Maybe there will be spice in book 2?

Loved the story. Loved the male narrator. Female narrator was robotic at times which was fine for most of it but it made me wish I had read it instead of listened.

I only like spicy books and wish I hadn’t use up my credit on this one.

10 hours and the FMC doesn’t hook up with anyone??? 😭😭😭

Doesn’t line up with the book?

I like to follow along, listen to the audio and read the book, however this audio has so many missing chapters and key points in the book, pages that are entirely skipped over. It was super frustrating to pause and have to read chapters from the book because the audio didn’t read everything.

Missing chapters + pages

While I did love the story I was sad that there were entire chapters and pages skipped from this audio. If I wasn’t following along with my kindle I wouldn’t have even noticed.

If you choose to listen to this please follow along to the actual book if you’re able to. Chapters missing were Chapters 20 + 25 and also in the last 5 chapters there were entire pages that were skipped.

Great story, mild spice

The spice was mild-medium, but the story and nods to the OG story references were really fun. The voice actors were LOVELY. The attention to detail and the way they portrayed Ez was really clever. I’ll read more, maybe the spice will pick up!

Denial

Continuous denial in spite of constant clue-by-4s to the contrary. I am not a fan of a cliffhanger without full resolution, but this dumped any progress and went all the way back to zero before ending. Just made me sad.
