After accepting a generous opportunity to start afresh, Leslie Wills, eagerly begins his journey to the Scottish Highlands of Elphin, a settled village that sits huddled amongst the mountains. The people are welcoming, and the scenery is breathtaking.
But deep within its Highland paths, a location rests hidden from the public's eye. An atmospheric location that entices you to learn the truth of its troubled past. But once you bear witness to its sights and sounds, its presences will never allow you to forget. Uncover the truth, journeying back to a forgotten time. Echoes of Home, is beautifully crafted into a plot full of secrets and suspicion that will leave you longing for answers. A ghost story, which will haunt you long after it's finished...

I definitely went into this book expecting that it wouldn't be my cup of tea, and while ghosts and hauntings are not my favorite type of horror, this book was so well-written I couldn't help but love it. The atmosphere and setting were perfect and the motivation of these ghosts really tugged on my heartstrings. This was an excellent story, but I did feel it was more sad than spooky in the end.

Hauntingly Good

Oh this book was heartbreaking and creepy. I loved the atmosphere surrounding the book. I loved the characters. This book was a fast read that engaged me from the start. I was compelled to push forward with each chapter. This book was beautiful and heartfelt. I would definitely read this book again.

Tragic ghost story

What an incredibly beautiful and haunting story. To say this book is atmospheric is an absolute understatement. I got so lost in the history of the land and the tragedy of the people while loving the people involved in the modern-day world. This is definitely a book I'll be coming back to. The narrator also completely transports you into this world, what an incredible voice.

Can a ghost story be beautiful? apparently yes.

This is a slow burn and it is truly worth it. It is a partially historical ghost story that unfolds in a fun way as you put together it's pieces. You ARE the main character as this story is written beautifully in first person, which I love. And I felt these characters. They meant something to me. I was concerned, scared for, and loved them. Russ Bain doesn't read this book, her performs it ... he is this book. Russ performance, paired with the flawless writing of M. L., makes this a great audiobook which, if you love a slow burning ghost story with mystery and a tad bit of history, this book should be your next read.

Thanks to M. L. and Russ.

A Truly Good Story

This story was sad and bittersweet. The story flowed well, the author's writing somewhat prose. The narrator's voice was perfect and really lent to the prose feel of it.

Great read!
