Not worth spending a credit

The FMC irritated me. In the beginning, her resistance adds to the story & is what captures you, but it never changes until the last 20min. It the same thing over & over, they fight because she’s stubborn & wants her independence & freedom, she runs, he catches her, throws her over his shoulder, explicit scene follows, she’s a mess, he’s sympathetic & then the cycle starts all over again. If you can read it for free & you have nothing else to listen to, then give it a go. I wouldn’t buy the audiobooks.

Excellent Storyline

I love the the portrayal of the characters. The spoken Italian made it a little difficult to follow the story at times but keep readers linked to the setting of the story.

Non stop sex. Lack of any actual story.

I loved both narrators, but the total lack of any story and continuous sex scenes were a turn off to me. It’s not that I mind the dark sensual parts, but enough was enough, and the female lead got increasingly frustrating with her continual childish defiance all the way to the end.

Charlotte Claremont was exceptional.

Charlotte Claremont: storyteller, shapeshifter of sound, a woman whose talent painted the unseen with borrowed throats—talented enough to conjure worlds, exceptional enough to lose herself in them. Her narrations didn't just entertain; they haunted, pulling listener into the chorus, wondering whose voice she'd become next. Her characters were mesmorizing.
