This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Orlando Flynn wasn’t beyond calling in the debt Jacquetta Mason owed him to get what he wanted. The love shared between them had always been untitled and he was ready to change it to something more concrete. Orlando knew exactly the label he wanted on his relationship with Jacquetta. Computer generated voice I dislike. No emotions in the voice to tell the story. Would been nice to have male female storytellers .

Enjoyed the story!

This author is excellent. The stories are funny and fun to read. It should have been fun to listen too as well. That is the reason I bought the audible version. But Virtual voice is unacceptable no inflection, no emotion just flat automatic reading not narrating or storytelling. I don't recommend the virtual voice.

Very good read

This story was better than the first AI story I tried to listen to. The fact that I finished it is testimony that it was so much better. Also, AI doesn’t know how to really speak English so consequently you get hung up on what the AI is actually saying. This AI did have some pronunciation problems but not enough to cause problems.. The reading went smoothly. Computers do not live by emotions and I was not surprised that the love scenes were emotionless. They weren’t even provocative. They were clinical. Too bad.

I read the ebook, loved it. And was very excited that the audio version was now available. I was skeptical about the virtual voice for narration, until I listened to it. Then I was certain that it was a bad choice. I found it flat, lacking in tone and tempo that would keep the listener engaged. I am a fan of Ms. Gaines' stories. But this version of this story left me disappointed. I gave the performance 3 stars because I wasn't sure how to create a half star. My feeling is that it should be 2.5. And that is based on the clear speech pattern only. I don't know what the motivation for virtual voice was. More to the point what was the reason for choosing this virtual voice. If this is evidence of what virtual voice is, the process should be reconsidered. I'm relieved that this title was included with the subscription, as I would have been very annoyed if I had purchased this. I hold out hope for better narrator choices for future Olivia Gaines stories. Again disappointed 😞

Virtual voice ... blah

The book is actually really good. I love the way Olivia Gaines can put a story together. I just wish that there was a real reader because the virtual voice is terrible. It kinda took away from the way the story was being told. The mispronounced words were a continued interruption.
