I love Feather

I read these books last year and absolutely fell in love with Feather and Mikhail (and Rumple… can’t forget Rumple!). When I saw them on Audible I knew I couldn’t resist. The narrators took a bit to get used to but the female narrator kind of nails what you think Feather would sound like although I kind of wish there was more distinction between her and the other female characters voices. The male narrator has a weird cadence to his voice that sometimes made me think of William Shatner imitating Worf from STNG but it honestly wasn’t too bad (as in I immediately got the second book that he also narrated to listen to after completing this one.) All in all it is easily one of my favorites and will be listened to repeatedly.

I love Feather!

Feather is honestly one of my favorite heroines and I've read thousands of books! From the first pages of this series you learn she has spent hundreds of years living lives that are THE worst situations, but she handles them all with strength, grace and a wicked sense of humor. She is quirky, irreverent and fierce, and she is consistently knocked down only to get up again and again. This book (and I went on to finish this series) made me giggle, laugh out loud, and swoon: all the things are here, light hearted but with depth too... This series grabs your heart and squeezes. It's a why choose/RH read with no MM, and each relationship Feather has with her men is individually developed and fleshed out beautifully. I loved this series HARD, at the same level as I love KF Breene, Ruby Dixon, Shannon Mayer and Jaymin Eve, and there aren't many authors out here that hook me like that. Five stars.

After I read this entire series, I went back and purchased the audiobooks. This audible is a great dual recording listen, the timbre of both the voice actors are easy to listen to and they are excellent storytellers! Gabriel De Leon and Reagan West captured the characters just the way I imagined... De Leon's portrayal of Mikhail was my favorite in this audio! Ah Mikhail, Feather's steadfast Growly Bear, one of my favorite main men of all time. I highly recommend this audio!

Book hangover enducing

I always know a really good book when I have a “hangover” after finishing it. This was better than I had hoped. The characters were rich and grew over the story. Looking forward to the next installment!

Interesting

I loved the humor and the different twists in the story. It was interesting how the author chose to tell the story. Different and unique. Very refreshing.

Male voice AI?

The story is inventive and immersive. I want to love the series. The female narrator nails the role and the side characters. The male narrator is so awful that he wrecks the experience and I strongly suspect that it’s an AI substitution because how could a real person style themself as a voice actor.
