Another great book by a great author. The fact that the author has a background of law enforcement really shows through in the books and especially this one. It adds the depth to the story and the characters that is difficult to find in many books. The fact that this one carries on the principal characters from earlier books just makes it more enjoyable to listen to. Love the character development, and I am impatiently waiting for the next book in this series. Thank you for writing such great stories and helping to create a world where you almost feel like you're part of the book. It also helps that Angus King is reading the book because as someone once said they could listen to Angus read a phone book and it would still sound great. The best combination you can have... a great story, a great writer and a great narrator all are in this book

Gripping story line

Neil Lancaster has created an interesting and sustainable character in Max Craigie. Together with the inestimable voice talent of Angus King, The Devil You Know is a very satisfying listen. It is intellectually sound, competently written, and has a satisfying flow. Well done.

Another win for Max Craigie

I enjoyed a few books in this series but wasn't fully blown away. But I think this is a solid police procedural with a complex plot and well developed characters. I added the next offering to my wish list.
And Angus King? Just the best!

Better and Better
