When he gets to his new ship, he finds things are not exactly the way he'd learned in school. Great series, listen to them all.

I've listened to the entire series several times over the years. I've recommended it to everyone I know who listens to audiobooks.

best of the series so far

Very dark and weighty topic, but it was deftly handled by the author. Abuse is a difficult subject, and this story could have gone awry. Instead this book is my favorite of the series so far. I enjoyed Mr. Lowell's reading of his own work.
