I'm a wolf in human's clothing. He's the enemy alpha. And our attraction is forbidden....

All I’ve ever wanted is to be part of the pack, but it’s difficult when you’re human. It never stopped my adopted wolf mother from loving me, but now that the biggest bully of our pack Troy is about to become alpha, he plans to ruin any chance I’ve got of fitting in.

I’ve already got enough problems without adding "kidnapped" to my list. But that's exactly what happens when we’re attacked and I’m taken captive by the alpha of the enemy pack.

I should hate Night, but he’s nicer to me than Troy ever was, not to mention a hell of a lot sexier. I know our attraction is dangerous, but our connection sparks something in me I never expected, revealing there’s much more to me than my human side.

When Troy hunts me down, it can only mean one thing—war. Now I must make an impossible decision between following my heart or remaining loyal to the pack that raised me....

The story at first was ok - but then it just became melodramatic and sappy. It might have still been an ok storyline - but the female narration is SO Bad that I simply could not Stand to listen to it any more. Now - the male narrator was good , if he had a better book to work with but he was operating with a disadvantage of a story line that was WAY Too much like a Penny dreadful. And with a female voice that sounded just like a female in the old time flicks that were tied to a railroad just wailing “Oh NO! What am I going to DO?” And “somebody please help me!” Alternating with the little girl voice of indignation “I am So Sick of them treating me like this!” And then proceeds to fight off the person trying to rescue her and get her away from the real villain who wants to truly hurt her. Get a clue little girl, if the guy trying to carry you away from being tied up in the really bad guy’s bedroom - HE is helping you. So you don’t start pounding on him and demand that he let you go while you are still trying to escape the murderer. So - needless to say - I just couldn’t listen to any more.

SPOILERS** This was a good book. I was not a fan of the female narrator’s voice. I enjoyed reading it. I was getting annoyed with the FMC’s stubbornness. She kept going on and on about Night stealing her but he obviously saved her. I get it for a little bit but it drags out to long and becomes annoying. I like how the new pack was nice to the MFC and it wasn’t a bunch of bullying the whole time. I am glad to see that Bryn finally talked to Night and “made-up”. I think book 2 is going to be full of action because there was a LOT of build up in book one. Overall good read. I’d recommend it!

Book ends in the middle of a sentence 🤷‍♀️. Very annoying. I liked the story though. Hopefully they will fix it and give us an updated version.
