One text message. A chilling warning. A husband’s deadly secret.

After losing everything in a devastating house fire, the cracks in Justin and Megan’s marriage are starting to show.

A move to the country should be the fresh start they desperately need, but the old lodge on the Treloar estate, with its crooked chimneys and dark foreboding walls, is more sinister than Megan ever imagined.

She tries to make the best of it for her husband’s sake, but the house is haunted by the secrets of Justin’s past.

And when she discovers a phone hidden in the loft, her world is turned upside down once again.

A chilling text message carries a warning she can’t ignore.

Whatever you do, don’t trust your husband…

The Warning is an addictive psychological thriller packed with twists and unpredictable turns that will keep you guessing until the very end.©2023 A J Wills (P)2023 W. F. Howes Ltd

We read this at work in our book club and we all thought the main character was just too lost in her grief to realize all the manipulation. But over all a good read just keep in mind you will be upset with Megan throughout the book.

Main character was too gullible.

I literally stayed up till 10 am listening to this book. I was so hooked that I wanted to know what happened next. Finally at the last hour and a half I had to stop to get some sleep. I was torn feeling sad for Megan and wanting to shake some sense into her. Sometimes if someone walks like a duck and quacks like a duck 10 to 1 they are a duck. Her husband was awful. I felt bad for her because she went from worse to worse in this story. How she doesn’t speak her mind to Justin and Harriet is beyond me. But besides for wanting to slap Megan I really liked this listen.

Didn’t want to stop listening

The main character is unbelievably dense. The plot "twist" is completely obvious from the very beginning. I cannot understand the good reviews! Main character Meghan, who was supposedly a personal trainer, is weak, feeble minded and ridiculous. This book is really terrible.

So Bad!
