In most cases the herd is not the way. The process you follow and the habits you create is where you end up.

Pretty good book

It summarizes the 18-year property cycle very well. My only problem is they shied away from the prediction portion of their book. But once you do the math and pick up what they have been laying down. You will understand that our next winner's curse is in 2026 and the bottom is around 2028 or 2029. He does a good job of detailing the cycle.
