About this listen

An opportunity arrives.

Following Gwen's rediscovery of her family, she must find her Mage Path in the magical city of Shanghai, battling pressure from relatives, expectations from instructors, and her struggles with the Void. At Fudan University, she must ensure that she does not lose her wits, all the while finding a path to power that will not alienate her from the family she acquired in her second life.

Continue your adventures with Gwen as she and her dearest Uncle Jun ponder the possibilities of poaching for Draconic fortunes deep in the heart of the Huangshan Mountains, where the Yinglong, an old, ancient Dragon, slumbers...

Great All Around

Overall I’m very glad to have continued this series. The story remains engaging and the narration is good. Other than the somewhat abrupt end, this book is 5 stars. What a great hook in the final interlude.

A fairly fun read

It is a good continuation of the series. I could be mistaken, but the audiobook seems to differ a bit in places from the version I read on Royal Road….

Getting sick of these "villians"

every woman that isn't one of gwens besties is a coniving backstabbing psychopath, and every man that isn't one of her best friends is sexual predator.

I don't know this series started out pretty strong but i think im gonna drop out.

dnf 3hrs remaining.

Amazing Adaptation

Best audible book in the series this far. You can tell the auth really honed his craft. Narrator is outstanding. Having already been primed by the prior four books, I knew I could expect a good listen. This surpassed my expectations.
