Floors away and armed with only her wits and the sound of her voice to convince him, Gemma fights for control of the situation even as tactical leadership pressures her for a more aggressive strategy. But for Gemma, it’s not about a quick solution. It’s about moving heaven and earth to bring everyone in that classroom home. And she’ll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.

Great read!

Precise hostage negotiations, with extraordinary detail and insight into the psychology behind hostage negotiations. Loved this book!

Great emotional book

Well written book. Emotional situation. Family dynamics, relationship twits, hope, fear, relief. An inside look at a tough gut wrenching situation.

Gripping

I really enjoyed this book. I could not stop listening. It was very well done.

What a heartbreaking and so close to real life

After Columbine this tells a more poignant story of the students, teachers, staff and parents you didn't see or feel in the news. As a mother of 2 high schools caught out of town (in another state) hearing the news of Columbine. I couldn't finish this audible when I bought it but I was able to now. I had the time to really pray for those who endured the tragedies at the different schools. Praying this will all end in God's grace.

Todays world in fiction

This is an emotional read with all the reality of today’s world. In this book 3 of the NYPD Negotiators series, the author has brought another real life situation to the forefront with delicacy and respect. A very good read (listen) with wonderful characters. I would recommend this book for sure.
