More than three million acres of dense woodlands make up the North Maine Woods. There are no major towns. No public roads. Nothing but forest for as far as the eye can see.

LISTEN TO THIS!!!

This is a multi layered novel with love bonding it all together. Highly recommend reading or listening to.

Perfect!

This was such a good listen! It's meaty, scary, has some excellent "monster science", and on top of it, has a heart. Narrator does an excellent job, too. This was a great adventure, with wonderful characters, and an intriguing plot that elaborates and weaves together familiar horror themes in a new way. If you love a well thought out monster, and one that on another level stands in for the terrible things humanity does all on its own, this is for you. The characters are human enough I teared up a little in some spots and the monster is spooky enough I had to move from sitting with my back to the window at night, as I listened.

What a ride!

Very scary with evil of all kinds and monsters of human and none human nature. Being in Maine made it even more terrifying! It made you think what would you have done to survive and would you have the strength of these men. I love that they were veterans because I love our troops and grateful for all their sacrifices. I can’t wait to read the next one.

I enjoyed the story immensely and the note hit hard I was 11b from 08-15 and been in very dark places in my life been on the edge a few times. The story was great tho
