Single Mom Why Choose romance

While this is a spin-off of Jillian West’s Ruined Records duet – I haven’t read that and did just fine. But, of course, now I’m going to go read those. 12/31/2022 Note: I read the Ruined Records duet, then read this again. I do think there’s some people & events that make even more sense having that as a foundation. (The epilogues specifically pack a bigger punch) However, I still feel this stands well completely on it’s own.

This is an absolutely delightful book. I love single parent books and the guys swooping right in to adore on not only Riley, but her daughters, was swoon worthy. Holiday theme spanning Thanksgiving & Christmas, bit of forced proximity, fun banter, cute kid, sexy times (one-on-one and a few MFM scenes). While there’s a little angst, it’s mostly from the situation surrounding Riley’s ex. For the most part – Cannon, Finn, Killian, & eventually Jasper get to know Riley and evolve into their own pack.

West did a terrific job of creating distinct & consistent characters. I always knew whose perspective it was which made it so easy to fall into this story. Epilogues! Plural! I love them and West delivered.

Narration:
I enjoyed this when I read it last year – but the narration is brilliant. Vanessa Moyen and Michael Gallagher give each of the characters their own unique sound and mannerisms matching West’s writing. Plus their performances compliment each other perfectly.

Content Warnings:
West has a comprehensive list at the beginning of the book. Be sure to check that out. While overall the book was fairly light, there were some heavy subjects touched on.

Production note:
Chapter 5 at the 8:00 minute make, can hear the book's intro lightly replaying in background along with regular performance.

Soooo cute

Narrators were excellent but the story for this short one was truly fantastic! Jillian West is phenomenal.

protection and humor

love the protective nature of the alphas and the good humor. Cove has got to be my favorite child ever! love that girl. I hope we'll get her story.

Amazing

I absolutely loved it! The story line was interesting loved Riley and her daughter, the narrator’s are amazing, every time I read/listen to one of Jillian Wests books it becomes my new favorite .

Worth a credit

FMC is a 21 yr old single mom in a really bad situation. The bar owner takes her in through a storm and he and his pack fall for the kids kids first. it’s cute, there is steam, kind of light on conflict though.
