A standalone sequel to Killer Motives: A Hudson Valley Mystery.

After a year that turned her world upside down, Victoria Mancusio’s seemingly perfect life is back intact—except for one looming loose end. And Victoria doesn’t like loose ends. All Victoria wants is for her life to go back to normal. In the aftermath of her husband’s infidelity, his lover’s murder, and the harrowing moments when her life flashed before her eyes, she just wants to focus on her perfect baby daughter, Lila, and live a simple, peaceful life.

But given her family’s wealth and notoriety, a simple life has never really been possible for Victoria. And with a sensational murder case and their names splashed all over the media last year, a threat from her past has resurfaced. Are the taunting text messages he’s sending a genuine threat, or is it just his way of playing with her head? She takes it upon herself to find out, determined to protect herself and her daughter. But the more she uncovers, the more the fabric of her life begins to unravel, and Victoria soon realizes he’ll stop at nothing to get back at her. But not if she can get him first....

This one is okay- it’s not as good as the first book. The story dragged.

This book started off good but then veered into normal, just so-so territory. I was hoping for much more, and I don’t think I would even classify it as a psychological thriller. It was just too cheesy. The ending was also very disappointing. I would not recommend using a credit.

Disappointing End

It was difficult to sympathize with either character in here. Vic Victoria was closed off had more secrets since you should and was inexplicable interactions her husband Nick had a temper that was terrifying and jealous jealous. I wanted to find out who actually did it in the end. It was a weird ending. And I’m glad I finished it but I wouldn’t want to recommend it. And that’s what I’m going to submit.

Unsympathetic characters

The story lacked a big bang. It got monotonous. I like the characters especially detectives but the love story between Nick and Victoria is unrealistic - portraying their relationship as either all good or all bad.

The story has potential

Just a really fun listen. I will definitely listen to more of her books. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
