TWO AM I

By: Jack Riewoldt & Shane McCurry
  • Summary

  • We are all collectors by nature, holding onto things that are important to us throughout life. Some may have a deep significance, others might be trivial or reveal a hidden talent, but all have a special meaning behind or within them that reflect where we have been, who we are now and who we will become.

This is the essence of TWO AM I – an adventure of stories, told through the lens of two personal items.

Each episode hosts Jack Riewoldt and Shane McCurry chat to extraordinary people about their two special items, their climb of the mountain – and the ups and downs of life – to learn how those moments have shaped who each person really is.

    Why TWO AM I?

    Two hosts: a shared experience.

One guest: and their two special items.

TWO AM I – Who AM I: honest and real conversations about the big questions in life.

    Episode 3: Mykel Dixon

Be ridiculous, be frivolous, be dangerous, be outrageous, be fabulous! Mykel Dixon is here to ‘save the world from boring work, bland events and beige bosses’ (more on his website). But behind that tagline is a genuine want and need for Mykel to liberate the potential in people everywhere – to help them embrace experience, tap into their inner creativity, be confident to express their perspectives and be a force for good at work and in life. And while he works to reignite the passion in others, he is honest about the challenges that exist and has some fabulous insights and advice on how to deal with imposter syndrome and the resistance – because no-one is immune. Get ready to laugh, dance, sing and definitely be surprised.

    Episode 2: Peter Chambers

Peter Chambers was looking towards retirement after decades in the banking industry. But those plans and life as Pete knew it, changed forever when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2018. For many, the MND journey is without a doubt a rollercoaster, as it is for Peter, but not ever wanting his diagnosis to define him, Pete has used it as the catalyst for his positive mindset and desire to help others. His love of cricket and music remain close to his heart, and he speaks candidly about the challenges of MND, but also the incredible strength it has given him and his family to live life to the fullest. Above all, Pete has embraced what he calls his HAPPY philosophy, one that everyone can learn from.

    Episode 1: Konrad Marshall

Konrad Marshall is a journalist, author, would-be carpenter, husband, father, insufferable Richmond Football Club fan and slow smoked barbecue enthusiast, who is putting his legs on the line in the pursuit of his next book, as a newly minted long-distance runner. While he doesn’t quite remember how writing became him, he reckons his Mum dubbing him ‘arty boy’ and being ‘shithouse’ at maths probably propelled him in that direction, one that he wouldn’t trade for the world. Described as a writer of “uncommon sensitivity, a master of observing the beauty and strangeness in everyday life” Konrad puts himself into everything he pens, bringing the stories of others to life in the most beautiful of ways.
