No surprise that Neil Gaiman's Snow Glass Apples is that stands out. There is also a surpassing beautiful take on the Red Shoes as well.

F'dup fairytales

short stories and especially interesting in the horror genre. this collection had some really interesting takes on fairy-tales as well. recommended for horror fans

really interesting selection of short stories

Some stories hit the mark, others were meh. I had the most irritation with some of the narration; a British voice reading a story set in Maine, another selection read in a poor American accent. Just hire the experts.

Mostly worth it

The short stories were really interesting and the narration quite good and they picked the right readers with the right material. I am extremely picky about narration and was pleasantly pkeased by this book. I really enjoyed many stories within, but "Bridge Troll" by Neil Gaiman, was my favorite. The stories range from the pretty horrific to the bizarre and strange. I liked it enough to buy it's predacesaor " Cursed" My only criticism of both volumes is when they try to reimagine old fairy tales like Snow White or other classics. I know aome people love those, but I do not. It seems lazy, like writing a variation on a theme. But, that is really my only criticism. probably the best supernatural anthology I have ever read.

Engaging and Fascinating
