Took a minute, but oh so sweet and good!

Listened slowly as it took me a minute to get into it. But it got so good and so sweet. I found myself loving Ethan more and more. And I didn’t feel frustrated in this story at all. Just hopeful and understanding that this is life. And it can be so good if we let it be what we make it💛

Clean romance

I love the fact that this book wasn't focused around heavy sex. I've gotten tired of those that had a sex scene in every paragraph so if you're like me and want a simple book that just tells a story with just a couple kissing scenes, definitely get this book!

Good listen even with slow start

Give this book about an hour to start pulling you into the story. After that you will be hooked .

Great story and female lead

Really enjoyed this book. I found it hard to stop listening when it was time to work or do mom things! Performance was great. Development of characters was great. Alice really did go the full 180 and you felt all of it. I like that. I also liked that there wasn’t a typical part of the ex finally noticing her and her going back to him. It gave the book a fresh appeal so I think it will remain with me longer than other books. It did make me chuckle at parts. I cried at parts. I felt proud of her and a little empowered myself. And happy for her (that’s why I read romance - for the happy). A full range of emotions in there.

I could see why this book wouldn’t appeal to younger readers but older women, married women or women with children can probably empathize with Alice at various times.

Heart-Felt Emotion

Annabel’s outstanding writing coupled with Kristen De Mercurios narration of all the different characters had me listening every chance I had and couldn’t stop . It is an emotional roller coaster and I am looking forward to listening to another book of Annabel’s soon .
