Her Rugged Outdoors Woman persona started as a joke, a nod to the outdoor adventurer that she wished to be. But in the years since, she has come into her own as a backpacker, rock climber, and trail runner. This book is a testament to the decision to name who you want to be and make it so.

Just a few random connections away.

As I am a 60 plus mother, the story Christine tells of her personal struggle through her early life gives me a picture of my children's past in a very helpful way. -Understanding and finding your own self while purposfully alone. Then being able to embrace the longing of sweet life connection to family and friends. Her story telling and insight was deeply satifying, -so beautifully written and spoken. A must listen.

The vocal fry

Loved the story. It was, at times, hard to listen to the vocal fry the author has. Someone else should do the reading.

a brutally honest story

naked honesty in the portrayal of a life fully lived, the beauty and the difficulty. heavy, heartfelt conversations of sorrow and loss are mixed with the joy of freedom and friendships and self-actualization. I have been wanting to read this book for a wile but needed to wait for it to be in an audio format. well worth the wait and the listing.
