The thing about sleep that many people don’t realize is that even though we are unconscious, we still take in information from things around us, such as sounds and movements. This is one of the reasons that many people find it hard to get a solid nights sleep when staying in an unknown place out of town, for example (we are subconsciously on high alert!). But this can also work in our favor as Transcendence Publications helps us realize by offering audio tranquility that not only soothes us into effortless rest, but serves to slow down our brain waves so we can come out of a high-beta state and into alpha and below. My favorite thing about this title was that, as a very regimented individual, it seems really easy to implement into a nightly ritual where I can put it on loop and bring about much deeper and more nourishing sleeps than ever before.

From the first minutes, this audiobook creates stillness. The pacing felt relaxing and calm which helped my thoughts slow down. Usually I go to bed with thoughts racing so this was a nice change. The vocal tone was soothing so kudos to the narrator. I liked how the guidance focused on easing tension instead of forcing sleep so this could be used to simply nap or chill out too. The best thing for me though, was that my sleep got better and better over several nights. While listening, my body felt heavy and settled and my mind stayed quiet (for the most part). It works best if you can just let go and listen without distractions. I would keep using this, especially during stressful weeks.
