Incredible True Life Story

The book is excellently researched. The story is well told. The story portrays the Captain as a complex man. I was filled with admiration at the beginning. I felt heart sore and sympathy at the end.

I was looking for just this kind of book about James Cook. It is well researched, very detailed where it matters and overall a great telling of the last voyage by Captain Cook.
